Nikau Davis is a young printmaker, illustrator and coder living on Darkinjung Land in the Central Coast, New South Wales, Australia. They will graduate from the University of New South Wales in 2024, with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Printmaking and Drawing, and a Bachelor of Arts in English and Sociology.

Their work explores desire, the longing for a better way of life, as a representation of potential utopias. They play with the social and creative potential of digital realms, exploring them as ideal spaces for utopian reimaginings of society, allowing playful and introspective audience participation. Together, Davis and the audience create an archive of individual and collective utopias, mapping shared longings for safe, secure, and sustainable futures. Their work is an optimistic attempt to speak these futures into existence.
